Like many avid readers, James W. Powell has always been excited to “discover” new authors, but finding good debut novels when they first hit bookshelves always felt like random luck. After scouring the Internet for one consistent information about upcoming debuts that he might be interested in, he realized that there was no one central location that had the information he was looking for.
Knowing that if he was interested in information about recent or upcoming debut fiction, other readers out there were having the same problem. So in January 2012, he decided he’d have to do it himself, and just like that, The Debut Review was born.
The Debut Review is devoted to first time novelists and their books. It’s a showcase for new talent that features all the information necessary for book hounds to discover new voices to add to their reading lists.
